The Cannington & Area Historical Society is pleased to present the Grand Opening of The Blacksmith & Carriage Shop.
The Official Ribbon Cutting ceremony with special guest speakers
MP Jamie Schmale, Mayor John Grant and Councillor Mike Parliament begins at 12:30 p.m. at 21 Laidlaw Street South
The restoration of our 1875 shop moved forward exponentially with the generous support of a Canada 150 Community Infrastructure Program grant.
All ages are welcome to explore this unique smithies workplace complete
with original tools of the trade and an assortment of horse drawn carriages.
Our Society, now 40 years strong in our community, is proud to celebrate
Doors Open with this hidden gem of history.
