The Blacksmith and Carriage Shop Open House Saturday September 26th, 10 to 4
During the time period 1860 to 1875, a wooden blacksmith shop opened up on this lot to service the needs of the residents of Cannington, and those who travelled by horse to the rapidly growing village. Guided tours happen all day that take you through a day as a blacksmith and wheelwright. You will explore smithy tools, their techniques and the transportation vehicles of the day.
